Therapy Services at Shore Wellness Counseling:
At Shore Wellness Counseling, I provide individual and group therapy to support people struggling with eating disorders, binge eating, body image concerns, and the stressors that come with daily life. Whether you’re seeking in-person therapy in Manasquan, NJ, or telehealth sessions across New Jersey, Florida, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, Ohio, and Louisiana, I offer a safe, compassionate space to begin your healing journey.
My Approach to Therapy:
As a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and a Health at Every Size® (HAES) provider, I don’t focus on weight loss or dieting. Instead, I help clients:
Reconnect with natural hunger and fullness cues
Let go of food rules and guilt around eating
Shift focus from body size to values that truly matter, like joy, connection, and purpose
Using a blend of DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), I provide evidence-based support for both emotional regulation and trauma recovery.
Individual Therapy
ndividual therapy gives you one-on-one support to explore what’s happening in your life, both in the present moment and in your past experiences. Together, we’ll work on:
Developing coping skills for stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm
Breaking free from dieting and feeling out of control around food
Challenging harmful core beliefs that fuel body shame or negative self-talk
Processing trauma and difficult life events through evidence-based approaches (DBT, CPT)
Building self-compassion and body acceptance
My approach is collaborative—you are the most important person in this process, and our sessions are tailored to your unique goals.
Consultation
In addition to direct client work, I also provide consultation services for therapists who want to deepen their knowledge of eating disorder treatment. Many therapists feel unsure about how to talk about food, bodies, and weight without unintentionally reinforcing diet culture. That’s where consultation can help.
Through one-on-one consultation, I support other clinicians in:
Understanding the basics of eating disorder diagnosis and treatment
Knowing when and how to refer clients to a specialist
Learning weight-inclusive, anti-diet, and HAES-aligned approaches
Gaining confidence in how to talk about food and body image in session
Integrating DBT, CPT, and Intuitive Eating principles into client care
Consultations are available virtually, making it easy for therapists across the country to receive guidance and support.
Group Therapy
Group therapy provides a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you can connect with others who understand what you’re going through. Groups are designed to help participants:
Learn new coping strategies and practice them in real life
Share experiences of binge eating, dieting, or body image struggles
Reduce feelings of isolation by connecting with peers on a similar journey
Receive encouragement and accountability in a safe space
